High School students ages 15-18 not only have an opportunity to work out for free and burn some calories this summer at Planet Fitness, but they also have a chance to win a college scholarship.

Brilliant idea. When I was a teenager and going through "teen things" with my body I started to gain some weight and I felt super heavy.

I couldn't afford a gym membership but wanted to work out so bad, so I got a job as an aerobics instructor at a gym called Nautilus Fitness Center,

I loved it. It became a lifestyle for me. To this day I still love being active and healthy.

Teens that are interested have to sign-up in person.

Under the age of 18, a parent or guardian will need to be present with the teen to get signed up.

Once the teen is good to go and the adult in charge has signed a waiver the teen can then work out alone.

Every teen that signs up to work out for free over the summer will be entered into the Teen Summer Challenge Scholarship Sweepstakes.

Planet Fitness will be giving away a total of $30,500 randomly to teens in Colorado.

Getting fit has so many benefits especially for teens. Getting those endorphins working helps mentally, physically and emotionally. Happy hormones equal less stress.

A win, win in my book.
