In the continuing saga of the creepy clown phenomenon sweeping the nation, the latest Western Colorado creepy clown report comes from Rifle.

As more and more clown sightings are being reported around the country, Grand Junction, Colo. isn't messing around when it comes to these clowns.

The creepy clown phenomenon hit Grand Junction this morning, luckily it was a hoax.

Earlier this week, Greeley fell victim to online threats made by creepy clowns. Although a 15-year-old high school student has been charged with starting the original rumors that involved shootings and a clown purge, it seems that a similar type of hoax is now spreading to Fort Collins.

The Greeley Police Department is currently investigating a series of violent threats made on Facebook, claiming clowns would be carrying out shootings at various schools in Greeley, and near Island Grove Regional Park on the night of Halloween.

For most people, clowns can be funny, like those in the circus, or scary, like the villainous ones in horror movies. Then there are people who are afraid of clowns in any situation. If that describes you, be glad you don't live in this town.

If you like clowns this may change your mind. If you're someone who's afraid of clowns this will really freak you out.

This may be the most frightening thing we've encountered seen since George Clooney tried to pull off playing Batman.
