If someone you know needs a little pick-me-up this holiday season, a letter from Santa might just be what the doctor ordered.

Typically, around the holidays we hear about kids writing letters to Santa Claus. This year, the tables are turned and we're talking about letters from Santa. How cool would it be for a young child, a shut-in senior, or a military service member to get a personalized letter from jolly old Saint Nick?

Well, thanks to the good elves at Meals On Wheels in  Mesa County, you can have a personalized letter from Santa Claus sent to someone you care about. Each letter you have sent will only cost you $5, and all the proceeds from this effort will benefit Meals On Wheels.

All you have to do is fill out the form on the  MOW website and the elves will do the rest. The information you provide will enable the elves to help Santa personalize each letter to create a very special and heart-warming experience this holiday season. Forms received by December 16th will be mailed out by the elves and should reach their destination before Christmas.

Meals on Wheels Mesa County serves about 500 meals every day to seniors age 60 and older. That's over 120,000 meals annually. They have an amazing fleet of volunteers who pull off this incredible task on a daily basis. By ordering a personalized letter from Santa, not only do you brighten up the holidays for someone special, you are supporting one of the fantastic non-profits here in the Grand Valley.
