The wacky and unusual names some parents give their kids often times leaves us scratching our heads. What were they thinking?

Sometimes parents think it's cute to name their baby something completely strange and out of the ordinary. And, then, sometimes parents just don't think.

Visitors to the Baby Centre website recently shared some strange but true baby names they had personally encountered.

Kat says she knows twins named Sam and Ella. (Think about it for a second...)

Kate tells us there are twins in her area named Faith, Hope, and...... Kevin. (Kevin will be grateful one day)

Rachel tells of twins in her grandma's class named Sid and Stan. Their last name was Still.

Cat says she's friends with a David Davidson and a Ronald Ronaldson.

Susan says she knows twin named Jack and Daniel.

Our advice to parents when it comes to naming your kids is this. Feel free to be original. Just keep in mind that what is cute when the kid is a baby, might not be all that appealing in adulthood. Remember, a name is something that will be with your kids their entire life. Don't make life any more difficult for them than it already is.

I remember walking through the airport one time when I heard the announcement. "Mr. Shorts. Mr. Rusty Shorts please go to the nearest wall phone."
Speaking of Rusy, in college my roommate's name  was Rusty Coyne. Are you  kidding me?

What is the strangest name you have ever personally encountered?
