The final preparations are being made for the thousands of Rock Jam fans that will start filling the grounds in Mack at 1:30 today when the gates open. The stage is up, chairs are out, the jumbo tron is in place, and VIP is ready. Here's what you need to know if you go.

The gates open at 1:30 today, and at 12 noon on Saturday. Tickets will be available at the gate. If you already have a ticket, keep in mind it doesn't include parking. The parking fee is $15 each day. There is a shuttle service provided at a cost of $10 per day. Here's the shuttle schedule.

If you are in general admission you will want to bring chairs or a blanket. Don't forget the sunscreen and a jacket for when the sun goes down. Chairs are provided for VIP-ers.

Smoking is allowed on the grounds, but if you need to light up, out of consideration for those around you, it would be a good idea to take your smoke to the back.

Outside food and beverages are not allowed to be carried in to the festival grounds, but you can return to your vehicle in the parking lot and consume them there  if you bring your own snacks. You are welcome to bring in an empty container that you can fill up with water once you are inside.

As always, law enforcement will be on the look out for underage drinking, as well as drunk drivers after the event.  If you plan to drink and you're not staying at the campground, be sure you have a designated driver in place.

This one seems obvious, but pets are not allowed, nor are they allowed to remain in your vehicle.
