Ringo Starr’s Birthday Wish For 2013

This Sunday is Ringo Starr's 73rd birthday and he's asking for a present from his fans. No, he doesn't need anything, but he wants to use the occasion to share his message of peace and love, and wants his fans to help out.

He's asking fans to stop at noon on Sunday and go "peace and love, peace and love, peace and love." That's all he's asking for.

We'll echo his message of peace and love and wish Ringo a very happy birthday on Sunday, with hopes for many, many more.

Starr also is encouraging fans to share his video message -- apparently shot in his backyard garden, where birds are chirping. According to a statement from Ringo's rep, the rocker is taking the summer off from touring to spend time at home in England with friends and family. He'll be back out on the road again at the end of October for a Latin American trek before hitting Las Vegas for two shows at The Palms on November 22 and 23.
