A record number of  Grand Junction participants in the 2016 Walk to End Alzheimer's on Saturday raised some $59,000,eclipsing the goal of $55,000.

Nearly 400 walkers gathered at Long Family Memorial Park to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association in Western Colorado.

The funds raised go in part to research, but a large part benefits the local Alzheimer's Association and their support of patients and families that are facing the disease.

The weather was great for the walk, and Ed Chandler and I were happy to be a part of the Walk to End Alzheimer's for the 14th year. Be sure and watch the video for highlights from this year's walk, and plan to walk with us next year.
