Pork n Hops is Here

The 2012  Bud Light Colorado Pork n Hops Challenge happens today and tomorrow at Grand Junction's Lincoln Park.  If you don't know what Pork n Hops is, perhaps this is the year you come out to see why this is a must-attend event for thousands of people in Western Colorado.

Of course, first and foremost  it's a BBQ event, and so this is a BBQ-lovers paradise! In recent years it has also grown into a substantial entertainment event as well. This year the Gin Blossoms headline on Friday and country artist Neil McCoy on Saturday.

There is an amateur BBQ competition, activities for kids, vendors, great musical entertainment, and of course, plenty of cold beverages.

But the reason for it all is the fact that professional BBQ teams from around the country gather here in Grand Junction to compete for thousands of dollars in cash and prizes. BBQ is serious business, and for the very best it can mean good money.
