If you are a cat person, you're going to love the adorable Jasper.

I'm always so happy to put in a good word for the homeless pets in Grand Junction in hopes they will find the love they yearn for and that forever home where they can live out their days. Here's a look at the pets of the week from Roice- Hurst Humane Society.

Never mind that he's a beautiful gray cat, Jasper is almost one-year-old who likes to play with toys and enjoys pets with moderation. He's a sweet cat who is looking for an experienced cat owner who can identify these signs and learn what his boundaries are. Jasper would be best in a home with no small children and prefers to be the only cat in the home.

Big Mama came from Montrose - with a puppy. The puppy has been adopted and now Big Mama is ready for a home. If you are looking for a big cuddle bug with big ears, Big Mama is the perfect dog for you. She loves people and enjoys playing fetch, though she might not always bring the ball back. Big Mama would prefer to be the only pet in the home.

Mia is back with us this week and I really hope this is the week she can find her forever home. Mia is 5-years-old and has made great strides with a foster family learning that humans are worthy of trust and friendship. For the first time in her life, Mia enjoys petting and playing. After raising kittens, Mia is ready for a home of her own.
