Grand Junction is looking to fill one seat on the City Council to replace Duncan McArthur who is stepping down due to health reasons.

District E is where the vacancy is, and the individual who fills the seat will do so until the next regular municipal election in 2021.

In order to be considered for the seat, the applicant will have to be registered to vote in Mesa County and have lived in District E for the last twelve months. District E is South of Orchard Avenue between Seventh and Twelfth Streets and includes Orchard Mesa and portions of Pear Park.

Once applications, resumes, and letters of interest are received, City Council members will review them and decide the next steps for election.

If you are interested in applying for the seat, you will need to submit your letter of interest no later than 5 P.M. on June 21. Interested parties will submit their information to the Grand Junction City Clerk by e-mail (cityclerk@gjcity.org)  or regular mail (Grand Junction City Clerk, City of Grand Junction, 250 N Fifth St Grand Junction, Co. 81501)
