New York is the first state to do so, will Colorado be next?

I don't have a stake in this game. I haven't had a cat as a pet since I was a little kid. I like cats just fine and have considered adopting one a time or two. A friend once asked me, "Wouldn't you like to have another soul to come home to at the end of your day?" Perhaps, but with my busy work schedule, a pet of any kind seems difficult to manage.

The cat owners I know seem to agree that cat declawing isn't cool. My how times have changed. I remember when a family wouldn't have a cat in their home with its claws intact. Let's face it, nobody wants their expensive furniture wrecked by the family pet sharpening its claws. Now, most agree it's not the right thing to do. Some are even calling cat-declawing "inhumane." Some veterinarians are so staunchly against it that they refuse to perform the procedure. Declawing a cat is illegal in the United Kingdom and throughout much of Europe. Many US cities, including Denver, have banned the practice. New York is the first state to do so. Should Colorado?
