New Mexican Restaurant Opening in Grand Junction
There's a restaurant coming to 24 Road in Grand Junction, just west of the City Market? Who's moving in?
This new restaurant will occupy the space which used to be the Black Bear Diner, right next door to Starbucks. Will it be a restaurant new to the region?
The Grand Junction restaurant Mi Mexico will be moving from its current location at 2480 US-6 to its new home at 624 Rae Lynn Street, Unit C. I spoke with employees at the current location, and they said the plan was to move before February. They will not be opening a second location but will relocate to the new address.
According to their webpage, Mi Mexico is a family-owned-and-operated business with three locations in Colorado: Grand Junction, Montrose, and Colorado Springs. Their webpage states:
Treat yourself, your family, and your friends to a fantastic dining experience like no other at Mi Mexico. When you visit our family-owned and -operated business, you can be sure you'll only ever receive the best experience possible.
Personally, I've always enjoyed this location. Back when it was the Black Bear Diner, I found it to be easy to get to, and there was always plenty of parking. This should prove to be a lucrative move for the restaurant. In addition to the nearby residential areas, the restaurant is right next door to a hotel.
Welcome to your new location, Mi Mexico. Again, the staff stated the restaurant would make the move by February. That's not too far down the road.
