A 37-year-old Scottsbluff, Nebraska man could face up to 11 years in prison after a Wyoming trooper found drugs in his car.

Court records say Benjamin Henne was pulled over north of Cheyenne on Dec. 7 after a trooper responding to reports of him possibly driving impaired spotted him speeding down the northbound shoulder of U.S. Highway 85.

Henne reportedly told the trooper that his car, which smelled of marijuana, "just got away from (him)." He also told the trooper that he was coming from Denver.

The car was subsequently searched and six dispensary bags containing suspected marijuana, 11 e-cigarette cartridges filled with suspected THC wax and two small bags containing suspected methamphetamine as well as other drugs and paraphernalia were reportedly found.

Henne was arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana, felony possession of THC-wax and misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine.

Henne is currently being held in the Laramie County jail on a $2,500 cash or surety bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 20 at 9:30 a.m.
