After finishing the last weekend of regular season play, Colorado high school football teams in Class 4A and 3A will begin playoff action later this week. Playoff football brackets for both classifications were announced Sunday.

Pine Creek and Discovery Canyon were selected as the top seeds in Class 4A and 3A, with both teams going 10-0 in the season.

Montrose comes in at No. 3 in Class 4A, and will host No. 14 Coronado in the first-round playoff game, which is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Montrose High School.

In Class 3A, No. 6 Rifle will also host their first-round playoff game, when the Bears take on No. 11 Northridge at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.

Other Western Colorado teams who have made it into the Class 3A playoffs are on the road this weekend. No. 12 Palisade travels to No. 5 Lutheran, No. 8 Delta will take on No. 8 Conifer, No. 14 Eagle Valley will play No. 3 Roosevelt, and No. 15 Glenwood Springs will take on No. 2 Evergreen.

Eagle Valley’s game is scheduled for Friday, and the remaining games are scheduled for Saturday.

Classes 5A, 2A, 1A, 8-man and 6-man are already in the postseason, with all five classifications completing their first postseason rounds this past weekend.
