The pop world suffered another loss today. The singer had been battling cancer for 17 years. She is survived by her husband and two children.

Marie Fredriksson, who was born in Sweden, passed on December 9, 2019, after battling brain cancer since 2002.

Marie was the female lead singer from the pop duo Roxette. The duo formed in 1986 and turned out many hit singles, including 'The Look,' 'It Must Have Been Love,' and 'Listen to Your Heart.'

It's incredible to imagine how strong she was, having battled brain cancer for so long. I read that Roxette was touring up to a couple of years ago.
