Live Music and Beer: Fruita Brew Festival Is On
It could be another sign that there is hope for a return to something near normal.
While most of our regular September events have been canceled including Winefest and Fruita Fall Festival, we are beginning to see more and more signs that we may actually be on the way back to life as we know it.
Events have been scheduled at the Amphitheater, the Market on Main has returned to Main Street, the downtown car show is this weekend, and we can add one more event to the September events calendar. Fruita Brew Festival has been scheduled for Friday, September 25.
The Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event at Civic Center park from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. James Williams and the Faith Peddlers will provide live music while beer samples will be delivered by five local breweries including Suds Bros., Coopper Club, Monumental Beer Works, Palisade Brewing Company, and Ramblebine Brewery.
For $20 you get five beer samples, a ticket to the concert, and the opportunity to purchase additional beer.
As per Mesa County Public Health's guidelines for outdoor events, attendance is restricted to western slope locals only. RSVP is required at fruitachamber.org.
It's great to have some events to go to and Mesa County residents seem to have done a good job of keeping folks safe and healthy. Let's continue to do that - mainly by staying home if you are sick or have any symptoms that could be spread to others. Pulling off events like this safely and responsibly could be the key to having even more events in the Grand Valley this fall.
