Hopefully, you won't ever have to worry about being attacked by a bear, but here's one way to successfully thwart a potential bear attack.

Now, if you are like me you've never even seen a bear in the wild, let alone be attacked by one. Of course, if you live in Fruita, there's a decent chance you've seen a bear in your front yard! I've seen bears in drive-thru parks and zoos, but never encountered one in the wild. And, honestly, I am pretty happy about that.

I don't know if the guy in this video had a "just in case" plan or if he just acted out of desperation. Either way, it worked and he lived to see another day - and the frightened bear might think twice before he commences to launching an attack against a human.
