Grand Junction Spring Cleaning Tips
As winter draws to a close, we all start thinking about those spring projects we need to get done, and no spring project makes us shudder than spring cleaning.
But fear not, brave listener. We have the hacks you need to make spring cleaning a breeze. A nice, spring breeze.
Cleaning your refrigerator
It seems like no matter what, our refrigerators get dirty and we seem to be powerless to get it all clean. Try this. Combine soda water (not Pepsi, Coke or those types of soda) with a little bit of salt and use it to clean your fridge. The bubbling action of the soda water, along with the abrasiveness of the salt, makes for a very effective cleaner.
Lime Buildup
I will admit I usually just leave this alone, because getting that stuff out is painstaking and rarely proves effective at getting rid of lime. Take some strong paper towels, lay them on the area and soak them in vinegar, then let it set for one hour. The vinegar softens the deposits and makes them easier to remove.
Washing Windows
Take your screens out and soak them in kerosene in a well ventilated area. This removes dirt grime and everything else on the screens, then rinse them with soapy water and let them dry. Wash your windows inside and out and use a squeegee for best results. Clean the sill inside and out.
Drapes
Remove the drapes and place them in the dryer on the air fluff setting, along with a damp towel for about 15 minutes. Rehang them immediately, then wipe with a damp cloth.
Dust everything
Remove everything from every surface you are going to dust. Clean them all with a damp cloth to remove dust or your favorite cleaner. But don't use too much or the streaks will show.
So there are a few suggestions to get your spring cleaning projects jump started. Let us know if you have any others and we can share them with everyone!
