Do you recognize either of these people? The Grand Junction Police Department would like to speak to them.

This recent event has the honor of being the area's "Crime O' the Week." This male and female are both suspected of burglarizing five units at Storage Storage at 2324 Grand Park Drive near 23 and G Road in Grand Junction.

The crime took place over a month ago on April 12, 2020. This all went down sometime around 10 p.m. The suspects cut through the exterior fence before burglarizing the five storage units.

Can you imagine pulling up to your storage unit only to discover it had been broken into? I can't. To date, I've never rented a storage unit. If I did, you could bet the items stored there would be of great value, but not necessarily something I need immediate access to. What other reason could one have to rent storage? With that in mind, this crime is especially disturbing.

Again, five units were broken into, not just one. That screams to me these individuals were on a spree. This, in my not-so-expert opinion, does not seem to be a crime where someone broke into a unit searching for a particular item.

As you can see, a concerted effort was made. They have the black hoodies, the black pants, black hats... you know... NINJA GEAR!!! The female suspect drew the short straw and got stuck serving as a lookout. Their attire and rigid posture don't exactly say, "Move along folks, nothing to see here. We're just going about our normal daily business."
