Grand Junction March Supporting Law Enforcement Happens Saturday
Western Colorado residents are gathering this Saturday for a march supporting law enforcement.
According to the Facebook page Back the Badge Rally, the public is invited to join organizers this Saturday morning at 10 at the Grand Junction Convention Center. The Facebook page lists Garrett Stockton and Erik Geer as the event's organizers.
In the comments section of the page, organizer Garret Stockton posted:
And I know this doesn't need to be said however this is a peaceful rally we will not be blocking streets we will not be cussing at people on the streets we will not destroy property weather it be something on the ground or a car a fence e.c.t if you start any s*&% you will be asked to leave if you commit a crime we will call the cops.
The event's other organizer, Erik Geer, said:
Please bring your flags and your support for our LEO’s. As Garrett mentioned. This will be a peaceful march full of pride for the USA and for our LEO. We are working on the route and will update!
It appears as though the community has expressed an interest in participating, Garret Stockton added, "Hey everyone I just want to say seeing the numbers on here for going and interested and shared going up gives me huge pride in my community I love all of you and can’t wait to see you guys there."
The Facebook group Blue Lives Matter Colorado also posted about the event. According to that post, the march will set out from the Grand Junction Convention Center and head to the Grand Junction Police Department. From there the march will continue to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office building.
