The Grand Junction Police Department is attempting to identify and locate the driver of an auto who fled an accident scene after hitting a bicyclist.

As part of the ongoing investigation, police are also trying to find people who witnessed the accident so they have a better idea of the events that led to the collision.

The hit and run occurred on October 16 at around 6 p.m. near North 25th Street and Elm Avenue. The elderly bicyclist suffered serious injuries in the accident.
