If you, your family, friends or coworkers want to challenge your brain and have fun doing it, play in the Grand Junction High School Community Knowledge Bowl.

The competition is hosted by the GJHS Academic Team. The good news is you won't have to compete against the Academic Team.

The event, open to all ages, is fun Jeopardy-style trivia that's also a fundraiser to cover expenses for the Academic Team travel to national competitions.

One competition is the National History Bee and Bowl in Washington later this month. The second competition is the High School National Championship Tournament in Atlanta which begins May 26.

In order to qualify for those tournaments, the Academic Team won both the Colorado Knowledge Bowl championship state History Bowl.

The Knowledge Bowl fundraiser is Saturday (April 15) from Noon until 4 p.m. at Grand Junction High School.

Complete information and registration forms are also available at the GJHS Community Knowledge Bowl Website.

Spectators are welcome to attend and bid on silent auction items displayed in the cafeteria.
