For those who haven't had enough fun in the snow yet, there's a great opportunity  this Memorial Day weekend. Aspen Mountain will be open for skiing and snowboarding during the holiday weekend.

Aspen Ski Company announced this week that the top of Aspen Mountain will be open this weekend to kick off the summer season. According to their website, conditions are expected to be 'classic early summer.'

The Associated Press reports the top of the mountain has a base depth of 53 inches of  snow. A big boost came from the Mothers Day storm that brought up to three feet of snow in some areas.

What a great state to live in! You can spend the holiday weekend in Grand Junction watching baseball, head up to the Mesa for camping and fishing, golf, bike, hike, or drive a couple of hours for some fun in the snow.
