Spring makes some people think about having fun outdoors and for others, it means fun at the drive-in.

As rare as drive-in movie theatres are nowadays, we are so lucky to have two of them right in our own backyard and they are both open for the season. How long has it been since you've been to the drive-in?

The Tru-Vu Drive-In in Delta opened last weekend, and I imagine it was an extremely popular place. It's likely to be a popular gathering place again this weekend with two entertaining features. First up will be the superhero film Shazam followed by the romantic comedy starring Rebel Wilson Isn't it Romantic. The first movie starts at dusk (about 8:15) Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Oh, and just a heads up, it's cash only, no credit cards.

Meanwhile, the Star Drive-In at Montrose will be a very popular place for families with kids. Dumbo and Captain Marvel will be the double feature Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. (April 19-21) Movies begin at dusk and kids 11 and under get in free.

To this day, the only drive-in theater I have ever been to in my life is the Tru-Vu in Delta. My only other drive-in experience is watching Danny and Sandy at the drive-in in Grease.
