Elton John, Madonna, Frank Sinatra, and Carlos Santana have at least one thing in common. They are all members of the Headwear Hall of Fame. Eton John is one of the 2014 inductee and if you are like me, you have to be wondering how one achieves such an honor. Every year, the  Headwear Association ( you mean there really is a Headwear Association?) selects six individuals who are know for their love of headgear. Back in the day, Elton John was well known for is array of interesting hats. What we might not have known is the reason he wore the hats - premature baldness. Now he just wears a toupee.

Other inductees this year include Queen Elizabeth II, Sophia Loren, Diane Keaton, Spike Lee, and Bruno Mars.

So am I ignorant or what? Not only did I not know there was such a thing as the Headwear Association, I had no idea there was a Headwear Hall of Fame. But now that I know about it I have learned that past inductees include Nicole Kidman, Cary Grant, Fred Astaire, golfer Payne Stewart, Jennifer Lopez, and legendary Green Bay Packers Coach Vince Lombardi.

There are 36 members of the Headwear Hall of Fame so far, and it looks like a pretty elite group of people. And our heartfelt congratulations certainly go out to Sir Elton on his induction. It won't be long until we'll be tuning in to QVC for the Headwear Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony. After all, what the world really needs is one more awards show.
