What could be more fun on Halloween than trick or treating with dinosaurs?

Monster Mash is a long-running trick-or-treat event at Dinosaur Journey in Fruita that kids just love. Of course, the kids don't really care about the radio personalities that are there - but they love the dinosaurs and the treats.

From 4 pm until 7 pm on Halloween, admission to the dinosaur museum is free for kids and adults. After checking out all of the cool dinosaur displays, boys and girls are treated with candy, fruit punch, and warm apple cider. You can come anytime during the event, however, the first half of the evening is the busiest time.

The annual Trick-or-Treat Street in downtown Fruita takes place from 3 pm until 5 pm, so it's extremely convenient for all of the little ghosts, goblins, and superheroes to go from one event to the next.

While our western Colorado weather has been on the mild side so far, this event is cool because it's all inside and there are no weather concerns.

Monster Mash is convenient for local treat-or-treaters since it's right there in Fruita, but, you don't have to be from Fruita to attend. We love seeing little ones from all over the Grand Valley and typically we have over 1,000 people through the doors during the evening.

Trick-or-treating with dinosaurs is a great way to celebrate Halloween. The prehistoric creatures are creepy, spooky, and very dead. Although in some cases they act very much alive. Don't forget the really cool thing, it's totally free!
