Colorado Man Charged With Death Of Seven Year Old
Leland Pankey, 39 has been charged with first-degree murder, child abuse resulting in death and tampering with a deceased human in the death of a seven-year-old boy last July.
Caden Williams was found dead inside a pet carrier, encased in concrete where Pankey and Caden's mother, Elisha Pankey, had placed him last July. His body was not found until December.
Charges were filed in January against the mother, who stated her husband abused the boy, beating and starving him. Pankey had also grabbed the young child by his throat and lifted him so high his feet weren't touching the ground. Pankey then took the child into the bathroom where loud noises were heard. Pankey then came out of the bathroom, but Caden did not.
Left in the dog carrier, he was left to die and was found dead by his parents three days later.
In December, authorities were investigating a storage facility and found the dog carrier with a concrete block inside of it.
Leland Pankey will appear in court on June 27th.
