For golfers wanting a fun, challenging, and unique golf experience, Cedaredge Golf Club is the ticket.

It had been several years since I had played at Cedaredge, so when I had a chance to play there this week, it was almost like playing there for the first time. Although, I have to say, the course at Cedaredge is unique enough, it's difficult to forget.

What makes Cedaredge Golf Club so memorable is the difference between the front nine and the back nine. It's like playing two completely different courses.

The front nine lies fairly flat and surrounded by houses, not unlike Tiara Rado in Grand Junction with generally pretty wide open fairways. The back nine would remind you more of Redlands Mesa - extremely hilly, very desert-like, some pretty narrow,  unforgiving fairways, and some high tee boxes that send  your tee shot sailing through the air dropping far down to the fairway below.

Staying out of trouble is not easy. You'll find plenty of hazards throughout the course, which makes for a most challenging round.

The greens generally seem softer than places like Tiara Rado and Redlands Mesa, and not nearly as fast. Don't leave it short!

Cedaredge Golf Club offers a driving range if you would like to hit a few before teeing off, and a nice practice putting green.

Rates are extremely reasonable at Cedaredge - $40 for 18 holes (plus cart)- and only $30 after 1:00, if you don't mind golfing in the summer heat. You could easily walk the front nine, but it's likely you'll want a cart on the back side.

If you want a fun and challenging golf experience, and some scenic views -be sure and get to Cedaredge Golf Club.
