Do you like axe-throwing? Do you like beer? Who doesn't? Have you frequently found yourself saying, "If only there were some place we could go out tonight to drink a few beers AND throw axes"? Guess what's coming to Denver?

How precisely does this work? Well, it's BYOB, but not BYOA. In other words, you bring your own beer and food, but they provide the axe. Instructors are on site just in case you're not an experienced axe thrower. Then, you let it fly.

The company, Bad Axe Throwing, is based out of Canada. They already have locations in Chicago and Indianapolis.

The company will open a new facility at 845 E. 73rd Avenue in Denver on August 11. Why Denver?

According to an interview in bizjournals.com, a spokesperson for Bad Axe Throwing said they were motivated to open a location in Colorado because "the majority of events we have are corporate. The early adopters of Bad Axe Throwing are in fact tech companies because they already offer great perks to their employees and have a lot of fun events." They added, "We're a perfect fit for them... We think the people of Denver will love the thrill of axe-throwing."

What kind of an investment are we looking at here? According to the company, you can expect to pay between $35 and $44.25 per person.

Personally, I was impressed with the guy dressed in the mouse suite at the pizza place. The cliff divers at that one joint are pretty cool, too. This, however, takes the cake. Round up your friends, grab a beer, and set a course for this new business. Keep in mind, you can leave your axe at home. They have you taken care of.
