Three sports teams at Colorado Mesa University made history over the weekend, a feat that would make any school proud.

To say the players on Colorado Mesa University’s men’s soccer team are ecstatic this morning would be considered a huge understatement.

This weekend will definitely be a busy one for Colorado Mesa University sports, and school officials are hoping that before the start of the Thanksgiving break, students will come to the games as a show of support.

Last weekend, six high school teams from Western Colorado were in football playoff contention, hoping to advance to the next level and continue their trek towards a championship title. Now, there are only two teams left from Western Colorado.

After winning the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) tournament on Saturday, Colorado Mesa University’s volleyball team has earned the No. 1 seed and will host the NCAA South Central Regional.

Although the 2015 season doesn’t begin until June, the Grand Junction Rockies have begun ticket sales for the 2015 season.

Colorado Mesa University will definitely be busy this weekend, especially with its sports teams.
