Are You Ready For the Canyon View Cornhole Challenge?
Summer is on the way which means it is time for the Canyon View Cornhole Challenge at Grand Junction's Canyon View Park.
The game of cornhole has grown wildly in popularity in recent years in the Grand Valley with events like the Pork n Hops Cornhole Challenge, and most recently in Grand Junction's Lazy Man Olympics.
There are some really good cornhole players in the Grand Valley and one wonders if they were simply born with outstanding God-given cornhole ability, or has it been hours and hours of practice that has transformed them into cornhole dynamos.
Regardless of the path you find yourself traveling on the way to cornhole super-stardom, the Canyon View Cornhole Challenge is for both the serious cornhole competitors as well as the casual, backyard bean-bag tossers.
The Canyon View Corn Hole Challenge is an eight-week competition held on Fridays starting June 2 and continuing through July 18. The cost is $25 and you can compete as many or as few weeks as you would like. Each week that you play you are earning points toward an end-of-the-season prize.(I don't know what that prize is, but it IS a prize)
Here's a bonus. You can practice all week during the adult softball season. Between all the practice and the weekly competition - when the pressure's really on -- you can take your cornhole playing to the next level. Who knows -- you may get good enough to win the Pork n Hops Cornhole Challenge and some big-time cash.
