The 2017 Grand Junction Air Show happens September 30 and October 1 and here are five things to know before you go.

Tickets are Available at the Gate
You can purchase tickets at the gate, but they will cost you more. If you buy tickets in advance the cost is $30 and at the gate, you will pay $5 more. For kids, 6-12 tickets are $10, and for 5 and under there is no charge.

Park and Walk
A lot of parking is made available at the airport, but the fact is you will want some good walking shoes for your trek to the tarmac. There are different levels of parking available including general admission, handicapped, and VIP.
- 3
No Shuttle Service
Often times, at events like these shuttle service is provided to alleviate some of the traffic and parking issues. However, there are no shuttles running during the airshow, which means you are on your own to get there and get parked. Expect things to be congested and slow-moving, so give yourself plenty of time to get there, park, and get through the gate.

Passenger Drop Off is Allowed
If you have people in your party that are not able to walk great distances, you are allowed to drop them off near the gate and then proceed to the parking area. There will be no shuttles in the parking area, so plan accordingly.

Bring Your Own Chair
If you did not purchase VIP tickets you will need to bring your own chair, unless you don't mind standing for a few hours. Once inside the gate, you can essentially place your chair in any area not covered by a tent.
