5 FUN THINGS TO DO LABOR DAY WEEKEND

1)MOVIES UNDER THE STARS –FRIDAY- “Hook” starring Dustin Hoffman is playing at Glade Park…the last movie of the season.Movie starts at dusk. FREE admission and food available for purchase.

2)MUCKED UP DESERT CHALLENGE – SATURDAY-Come rise to the challenge at  the obstacle-filled 5k Mud Run to benefit the CMU Athletic Scholarship Fund and Grand Junction Fire Department.  $40 for adults. LIVE music , food, vendors. www.active.com

4)WW II MEMORIAL DEDICATION – SUNDAY –1:30PM at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado. It’s the unveiling and dedication of the newly erected WW II Memorial. Overflow parking available at the Grand Junction Regional Center, the northeast parking lot, accessible from Riverside Parkway, wish shuttle service available.

5)LAST DAY TO SWIM AT LINCOLN PARK – MONDAY -  The outdoor swim season comes to a close, and the weather should be ideal  for a family swim with temperatures near 90.
