The top ranked CSU- Pueblo Thunderwolves came to Stocker Stadium Saturday  and showed why they are the #1 team in the nation. They left with a 48-10 victory over the CMU Mavericks.
The first three scoring drives for the Thunderwolves covered 27, 25, and 28 yards on drives of 3, 4, and 3 plays to forge a 27-3 halftime lead. A 21 yard field goal by Alex Zemezonak was all the points the  Mavericks could put on the scoreboard in the first half.
The Mavericks finally got into the End Zone on a one yard run by quarterback Deke Cisco with 11:51 to play in the game.
Mavs'  running back Jake Cimolino rushed for  106 yard on 16 carries, while Alex Zemezonak caught 6 passes for 61 yards. D.J Hubbard added 3 receptions including a 43 yard reception to set up the CMU touchdown.
Defensively, Trent deBraga led the team in tackles with 15, while Jake Edmiston had 13.
The Mavericks drop to 3-6 on the season, 3-4 in conference play, while CSU-Pueblo improves to 9-0 with their 24th consecutive regular season win.
The Mavericks play their final home game of the season next Saturday against Western State at 1:00pm.
