Mick is a six week old Boston Terrier who was born with a disabling birth defect known as 'Swimmer Puppy Syndrome'. With some help from his human friends, Mick is learning to walk.

Swimmer Puppy Syndrome occurs when the chest, (ribcage and sternum), flatten out causing the puppy's legs to spread away from it's body leaving the puppy unable to stand or walk.

Left untreated, the chest continues to flatten putting pressure on the internal organs causing severe illness and in many cases death.

The treatment seen in this video is one of the most effective, but also requires an incredible amount of time and dedication from the puppy's caregiver.
