The Girl Scout cookie shortage which has left cookie lovers pining for Trefoils and Thin Mints is finally over and the cookies are ready for full consumption.

Girl Scouts of Colorado began cookie sales weeks ago, but delays by little Brownie Bakers, the bakery that supplies Girl Scout cookies to Colorado, caused many of the favorite cookies to be in short supply.

However, according to a press release from the Girl Scouts of Colorado, the Western Colorado Girl Scouts are no longer being affected by the delays, and cookie inventories have been replenished.

The Grand Valley Girl Scouts are celebrating by joining other councils in participating in National Girl Scout Cookie weekend, February 27- March 1. The girls will display their cookie-selling skills through door-to-door sales and booth sales at many local retail establishments this weekend.

You might want to try this year's new flavors. New this year is the Rah-Rah Raisin, and Toffee-Tastics, which are crisp, buttery cookies packed with toffee bits. I have to give those a try!

One hundred percent of the net revenue from cookie sales stays in Colorado, so it's a great way to enjoy a yummy treat and support the local community. And, now that the cookie shortage is over we can all stock up!
