Introducing the Brand New Delicious Girl Scout Cookie

What a thrill it is to introduce to you a brand new delicious Girl Scout Cookie flavor!

If you love S'mores, you're probably going to really like the new S'mores cookie, available in January 2017 when the annual Colorado Girl Scout Cookie sales campaign gets under way.

The S'more cookie is a crunchy graham sandwich cookie with creamy chocolate and marshmallow-like filling. Imagine enjoying the goodness of s'mores without burning your hands taking it off the fire and getting it out of the foil wrapper.

According to Colorado Girl Scouts press release, the Girl Scouts did not invent S'mores, but Girl Scouts of the USA was the first to publish the recipe under the name "Some More" in a 1925 issue of a Girl Scout leader magazine, and then as "somemores" in a 1927 Girl Scouts publication.

The new S'more cookies will be added to the list of the traditional Girl Scout favorites like Thin Mints, Tag-a-longs, Trefoils(my favorite), Dos-Si-Dos, Savannah Smiles, Samoas, and the gluten-free Toffee-Tastics.

I always get excited when it comes to Girl Scout Cookies. They are so good! But, now my excitement level has skyrocketed off the charts in anticipation of the S'mores in January. It may be the best thing that happens this winter in Western Colorado.
