Two Persons of Interest in Hit and Run Now in Police Custody
Two people being sought as persons of interest in a pedestrian hit and run case on September 16 are now in police custody.
David Arellano Jr., and Cheyenne Dean were arrested on outstanding warrants not related to the vehicular assault.
Arellano was arrested for a Failure to Appear Warrant and Obstructing a Peace Officer. Dean was arrested for a Parole Violation and Obstructing a Peace Officer
Mesa County Sheriff's Investigators are continuing their investigation into a hit and run that happened on Saturday, September 16.
At approximately 4:15 a.m. a 22-year-old female was hit by a vehicle in the parking lot at 422 32 Road. The victim remains hospitalized.
Investigators are trying to determine how Arellano and Dean might have been involved in the incident. No charges have been filed in the hit and run case.
