This week's Throwback Thursday takes us to the 80s where I attempt to cook a Hot Pocket in an old microwave oven.

This microwave has been in continuous use since purchased in 1985. It's used mostly to heat beverages and some leftovers.

The unit has had the door interlocks and a fuse replaced, but other than that has been completely trouble-free. I can't say the rest of my home appliances have held up that well.

Hot Pockets have a special sleeve that helps warm the inside while keeping the outside crisp. The question is, since these special sleeves didn't exist in 1985, how would this microwave cook a Hot Pocket? It blackened it to perfection. Yum!
