The Perfect Facebook Page for Western Colorado Photographers

Do you have a hefty collection of blurry images of Western Colorado wildlife? Good news - there's a social media page out there just for you.

Have you visited the Facebook page called Crap Wildlife Photography? It's awesome. The page's disclaimer reads:

This group is for all those photos that you took that didn't turn out quite right, maybe you chopped off that pigeons head, or maybe that lemur ran up the tree and you only caught it's [sic] tail.

Do you recall the collection of not-so-award-winning photos I've posted featuring the Great Horned Owl on Grand Junction's Audubon Trail? Yeah, the pictures with the blurry images of the top of his head sticking out of the nest. How about the one where he's standing next to the nest, but you can't distinguish between the owl and the tree? Finally, these photos have a home somewhere other than the trash can.

When submitting photos, please keep in mind there are a handful of rules:

1. No photos of people, pets, livestock, zoo/aquarium animals, dead animals, or violence
2. No nastiness, no religious or political discussion
3. Photos must be crappy, and original
4. No spam or advertising
5. This rule intentionally left blank
6. There is no rule 6

My grandpa, a photojournalist, always told me, "If you take a bad picture, throw it away. That way, you don't have to make excuses or try to explain it." Well, that was long before social media. Now, we have a place to show this stuff off.

Let's get a number of Western Colorado shots on this page. Let's show the rest of the world what we're made of. Search through the hard drive and see if you can conjure up those old bad photos.
