The New Pelican Bridge In Colorado Will Connect Two Communities
Driving on 7th Street in Windsor will look quite a bit different come mid-December as a new pedestrian and golf cart bridge will be completed. The Pelican Bridge will be near the intersection of Kestrel Drive in the Water Valley master-planned community.
The Pelican Bridge will be an official pedestrian and golf cart connection between two Windsor communities. Water Valley and Raindance.
The CEO of Windsor's Water Valley Company and developer of the Water Valley and RainDance communities said "This vision is almost 20 years in the making". Lind states that land had to be purchased, roadways were redesigned and grading on 7th Street took place 15 years before construction on the Pelican Bridge began.
Specifications for Windsor's Pelican Bridge include a 194-foot wingspan, 17 feet high, approximately 35 feet from the bottom of the bridge to the road on 7th Street, and 12 feet wide.
We saved the best part of Windsor's Pelican Bridge for last. The bridge will be a beautiful sight during the day. However, at night is when the bridge will come alive in illuminated glory. Martin Lind said, "the daytime magnificence will be enjoyed by all, but at night this structure will become iconic". During the holidays, the Pelican Bridge will shine bright with Christmas colors. The Bridge will also be painted in light with red, white, and blue during Independence Day.
We can't wait to see the new Pelican Bridge in Windsor open in the next few weeks.
