The 18-year-old suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend admitted to shooting her in the head.

Tanner Flores was arrested Friday afternoon after a body of a young female, later discovered to be Ashley Doolittle, 18 of Berthoud, Colo., admitted to police he shot her in the head twice because he was "angry with her."

Doolittle ended a one-year relationship with Flores shortly before the incident. According to 9News, his friends say he sent a "suicidal" Snapchat message on June 8.

According to the arrest affidavit, Flores said the shooting took place near Carter Lake in Larimer County. He also said he took the body into a residence to clean her up before returning to the truck. Flores allegedly said he disposed of a bloody rag on the property and a rug in a silo.

Flores is being held in Mesa County without bond and may be moved to Larimer County.
