There's so much snow at the top of Breck right now slopes are opening early. Slopes are opening early for the first time in almost ten years.

According to CBS Denver, about four feet of snow has fallen in the past week. Now that's a whole lot of fresh pow. All of this snow means that the slopes are ready to be shred. Both Breckenridge and Keystone Resort are opening early because of all of this snow.

They're kicking off their season early and it's the first time in almost ten years. Both Breckenridge and Keystone were originally planning on opening this Saturday, November 9th. Now both ski resorts are opening on Wednesday, November 7th.

The skiing and snowboarding season is here, according to Breckenridge's vice president and chief operating officer, John Buhler. John also stated:

We are thrilled to kick off the winter season this week and anticipate opening a variety of terrain quickly at the resorts.

They aren't the only ones who are excited to kick off the season. Lots and lots of people have been waiting for the day to shred all of that fresh powder.
