Revised Mesa County Fairgrounds Events Schedule for 2020

Fun and exciting things are coming to the Mesa County Fairgrounds in 2020. Here's an updated list of events.

For the time being, the Mesa County Fairgrounds are closed to all activities. Their official schedule has been adjusted to reflect that. However, come May 1, 2020, things are back in action. Events include fascinating things such as the Mesa County Fair, the CMU Maverick Stampede, the Western Slope Reining Horse Show, Gem and Mineral shows, and even the Frontier Belles Gamblers Choice.

Here's the updated schedule for 2020:

May

• May 1 through 3 - Western Slope Reining Horse Show at 8 a.m.
• May 8 through 10 - Zippity Do Dogs Agility Dog Show at 8 a.m
• May 8 and 9 - Racing the Rockies Barrel Race at 9 a.m.
• May 9 - Hemp on the Slope at 8 a.m.
• May 10 - OM Lions Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast at 7 a.m.
• May 14 - CWBRA Barrel Race at 5 p.m.
• May 16 - Traxxas Monster Truck Tour at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
• May 16 - Kokopelli Llama Show at 8 a.m.
• May 21 - CWBRA Barrel Race at 5 p.m.
• May 23 - Grand Junction Horse Show at 8 a.m.
• May 23 and 24 - J$ Memorial Roping at 10 a.m.
• May 29 and 30 - Racing the Rockies Barrel Race at 5 p.m.
• May 29 and 30 - Shrine Circus at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

June

• June 5 through 7 - Grand Valley Dressage Horse Show at 8 a.m.
• June 12 and 13 - Racing the Rockies Barrel Race at 5 p.m.
• June 21 - Grand Junction Horse Show at 8 a.m.
• June 25 - CWBRA Barrel Race at 9 a.m.
• June 26 and 27 - 4H District Horse Show at 9 a.m.

July

• July 14 through 18 - Mesa County Fair
• July 25 - Frontier Belles Fair Horse Show at 8 a.m.
• July 31 - Racing the Rockies Barrel Race at 5 p.m.

August

• August 1 - Racing the Rockies Barrel Race at 10 a.m.
• August 16 - Grand Junction Horse Show at 8 a.m.
• August 28 through 30 - Grand Valley Dressage Horse Show at 8 a.m.

September

• September 4 and 5 - Racing the Rockies Barrel Race at 5 p.m.
• September 11 through 13 - Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse Show at 8 a.m.
• September 18 and 19 - Gem and Mineral at 8 a.m.
• September 18 and 19 - Racing the Rockies Barrel Race at 5 p.m.
• September 24 through 27 - Just Between Friends at 9 a.m.
• September 24 through 27 - Grand Valley Kennel Club/AKC Dog Show at 7 a.m.

October

• October 2 through 4 - Grand Valley Dressage Horse Show at 8 a.m.
• October 10 - CWBRA Finals Barrel Race at 8 a.m.
• October 10 - Orchard Mesa Lions Club Soup Extravaganza at 7 p.m.
• October 16 through 18 - Western Slope Reining Horse Show at 8 a.m.
• October 31 - Frontier Belles Gamblers Choice at 8 a.m.

November

• November 14 and 15 - J$ Roping and Barrel Race at 8 a.m.

December

• December 5 - Lavender and Artisan Christmas Craft Fair at 9 a.m.

It appears as though 2020 is going to be an exciting year at the fairgrounds. I'm not entirely sure what's up with all the 8 o'clock in the morning events, but what the heck.
