Passengers and Power Pole in Two Vehicle Accident Receive Minor Injuries – Vehicles Not So Lucky

A two vehicle accident looked a lot worse than it was, because the vehicles involved were stacked up against a power pole.

The accident happened Sunday around noon at the corner of 24 and H Roads. The police report says a Mini Cooper was travelling south on 24 Road when a Jeep headed north made a left turn in front of the car. The resulting collision ended with the Mini Cooper striking the Jeep which was pushed into the pole with the car partially trapped under it.

None of the people inside the vehicles received injuries significant enough to be taken to the hospital. The driver of the Jeep was ticketed by law enforcement for making an unsafe left turn. The power pole declined to be interviewed or express interest in pressing charges related to the accident.
