Grand Junction's new skate park is located in the parking lot west of Las Colonias dog parks and east of the amphitheater. According to the City of Grand Junction, the skate park is 7,000 square feet and is designed for all ages and skill levels.

The skate park is semi-mobile, meaning it can be relocated as needed. Don't worry, it won't move while you're skating, portions of the park are secured to the concrete so they can't move. The City of Grand Junction also adds that this space can act as overflow parking for the Amp at Las Colonias and the skate park can be relocated when needed.

It's great to see Las Colonias Park expanding and adding things like a new skate park, dog parks, ponds, as well as the River Park. Mesa County has seen a huge increase in the usage of parks recently, which is why Grand Junction Park and Recreation has been providing more spaces for outdoor recreation.

Now Grand Junction has even more skate parks including Westlake Skate Park, Eagle Rim Skate Park, Longs Memorial Skate Park, and now this one at Las Colonias.

See pictures of Grand Junction's new skate below. If you're planning on skating here, let us know what part of the skate park you plan to skate first and what trick you want to land first in the comments or by chatting us on our app.
