All military members, veterans, and National Guard members get free admission into all Colorado State Parks in August.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is honoring our military by hooking them up with free admission to Colorado State Parks for all of August. Our military members and veterans have made the ultimate sacrifice and we think they deserve to check out a Colorado State Park for free.

August means that all military members, veterans, and National Guard members don't have to worry about their admission fees. According to Colorado Parks & Wildlife, any state park office or Colorado Parks Wildlife office can issue a free pass for the month of August.

Free admissions passes for the military will be available on August 1. Military members, veterans, and National Guard members can receive their pass by showing proof of military service, a military ID card, or a current Colorado Driver's License/state-issued verification card that has 'veteran' on it.

Veterans will still have to pay other applicable park fees, like camping fees, according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Colorado Parks and Wildlife also provides these benefits for our military, according to their website:

  • Vehicles with a Colorado disabled veteran license plate gets free entry to all state parks year-round
  • Military members and veterans receive free entry into all state parks on Veterans Day

We're happy to see Colorado Parks and Wildlife continue to hook up our military every year with free admission to all state parks in August, as well as Veterans Day, they deserve it.
