Light Up Grand Junction Blue for Child Abuse Awareness
OK Grand Junction! Here's an easy and fun way to show your support for child abuse awareness -- Light the Town Blue! Find out more.
CASA of Mesa County wants to "Light the Town Blue" during the month of October to raise awareness of child abuse.
All you have to do to show your support is put a blue light bulb on your porch. It's that easy. And it's fun for the kids. Plus it looks cool.
Grand Junction has seen a few cases of severe child abuse recently and we need to make sure our children are protected.
As a parent, you can take this time to talk to your kids about child abuse and how they can help identify and prevent it.
We challenge all Grand Junction residents and businesses to change their outside lights blue -- if you need a blue light bulb, we have some at our studios, just stop by 315 Kennedy Ave and pick one up. Hurry, supplies are limited.
Along with challenging residents and businesses, downtown Grand Junction needs to change the street lights to blue for the remainder of October.
Submit a photo of your front porch lit up blue and we'll share with our fans.
