How To Be the Best Boss in Grand Junction

Being the boss isn't easy. Being a good boss is even harder.

Let's face it, in the Grand Junction marketplace we have some great bosses and we also have some who leave a lot to be desired.

If you are a boss or a supervisor or a manager, you could possibly learn a few things from the responses we got to a recent Facebook question. We asked the question "what are some qualities that make for a great boss?"

People who aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves, sweat a little, get some dirt under their fingernails and work like one of the crew are usually among the most like and well-respected bosses.

It sounds like Marcia knows a thing or two about managing people. I have a feeling she would make a great boss.

I understand that a boss has to walk a fine line between being too hard - or too soft. But, yes, as Robintix says, compassion is a great quality for a boss to have.

There is definitely some good advice here, and I would admonish Grand Junction bosses to take a look in the mirror and see if these are qualities your employees see in you. In most cases, the better the boss you are, the better your people will be. That means you'll be happier, they'll be happier, and that's a win-win for everyone.
