This popular Grand Junction thrift store pulled up stakes and moved to a new location. Have you visited their new store on North Avenue?

Good Deal Thrift Store can now be found at 1320 North Avenue in Grand Junction. You may recall seeing them in Orchard Mesa just south of the 5th Street Bridge.

Why are you just now sharing this?

Okay, I'm a little late on this one. Good Deal Thrift Store closed down their Orchard Mesa Location clear back in November. Shortly after that they opened the new location at 1320 N. Avenue. I pride myself on staying up to speed with new businesses in the valley. Regrettably, this one slipped past me.

What do they sell?

As near as I can tell, just about everything under the sun. If you're looking for an inexpensive bike, various household items, perhaps a picture frame or two, this might be the perfect place to start. Looking around the shop, it appears they have an impressive selection of quality furniture. As stated on their official Facebook page, "We offer a wide assortment of used and new items in excellent conditions."

What are their business hours?

I called and spoke with an extremely nice lady. She informed me the business hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Why purchase from a thrift store?

The website my.neighbor.org, lists a handful of reasons why you should shop at a thrift store. Among them:

  • Save money
  • Help the environment
  • One-time-use items
  • The thrill of the hunt
  • No salespeople

One of my weird little hobbies includes refinishing old furniture. Older, solid wood furniture comes with a ton of character. Thrift stores tend to have a steady supply of such items.

Welcome to the neighborhood.

I always get a charge out of watching small local businesses thrive. This is a "happening" location. It certainly has a steady flow of drive-by traffic. Here's wishing them a long and successful run.
